The San Bernardino County Firefighters' Association was founded in the 1930's as the Fontana Firefighters' Association.
As the years went on and the mergers took place it became the Central Valley Firefighters' Association, in 2001 the membership voted to open up the association and merge with the Lake Arrowhead Firefighters' Association and the Wrightwood Firefighters Association and change the name to the current San Bernardino County Firefighters' Association. We have always taken care of the membership, educated the public, and supported the department as well as been active and supportive in all tragedy that has struck this department in death, injury and illness. The association has continued to work in the public education of child safety and fire safety through the department education division and the county Children's Network. We have also taken a proactive role in child safety education in this county by becoming a major sponsor of the Children's Network and the Safe Kids program. The association also has several deferent committee's, such as the Department Line of Duty Death committee, Public Education committee, Public Relations committee and the Fund Raising committee. The Fund Raising committee allows us to raise funds to sponsor many of the deferent programs we are involved in.  The funds also allow us to organize deferent events such as the annual Family Picnic, annual Christmas Dinner, Christmas Bonfire, annual Golf Tournament and the annual Pancake Breakfast to name a few. These deferent programs and events along with the professional conduct of our members, gives the association and the department county wide positive exposure.
